It’s been a long time since EasyBC was launched back in 2011 and in that time we have been serving a number of Body Corporates across New Zealand, helping them get organised as well as making sure they are compliant with the Unit Titles Act 2010 along with subsequent updates to it.
However it is somewhat bittersweet since we also knew EasyBC wasn’t fulfilling its potential. Even though we had a great product, it now feels a little old in both its User Interface and the code that powers it.
And we’ll put our hands up - we’ll own it - it’s our fault. For this we are sorry. Truly.
Renewed Focus
But now is the time. It’s time to stand up and be counted. It’s time to stop standing still and instead to crack on with our new adventure.
With our recent change of ownership (more below) we are adding extra focus to developing new features and fixing some of the long-standing issues. However there is something more important than either of these things, and that is to talk to our customers way more than we have in the past.
Finding out from you, our customers, people who own unit titles, anyone who volunteers their time for a Bodycorp, customers of Bodycorp management companies, and those companies themselves are the people we’d love to talk to. We want to find out more about how your Bodycorp ticks, and what you’d like to make life easier. After all, that’s what we’re here for.
Get in Touch!
So please get in touch any way you can, tell us about your story and we’d love to help. You can:

Ownership Change
Apps Attic Ltd (owned by Andrew Chilton, the original EasyBC developer) now owns EasyBC in its entirity rather than just a half-share and now has both the ability and the desire to shift up a gear and create a wholly new EasyBC experience for you to enjoy.
Apps Attic Ltd has been trading since 2010 and since that time has worked with clients in New Zealand, Australia, and the United States. We’ve been providing valuable services, programming, and consultancy in a wide array of areas from online e-books, to large search engines, frontend, backend, and all technology in between.
So EasyBC is in good hands.
The Roadmap
Our initial focus is to get our ducks in a row for both the business and the tech stack, but here are a few of our top-level aims for the product which we hope to round out by the end of the year.
- secure communication to both websites with SSL encryption (done)
- new branding across all of our (web) properties (yeah, not those properties)
- new hosting for both the main site and My EasyBC (in progress)
- migrate our database hosting to a dedicated provider (in progress)
- complete rewrite of My EasyBC involving:
- refreshing the design
- review/update our current features
- simplify many of our pages
- switching the technology stack
For now, we invite you to enjoy our new logo:

It’s going to be a lot of work but we hope you’ll appreciate it when it’s done. We’ll be sharing our journey with you here along the way and hope to invite a number of you to an alpha or beta release of the new app so we can seek your feedback.
We’ll be running this alongside the current app for a while so we can prove its stability, and we’ll roll it out to everyone later this year (or early 2019)!
And Finally …
As we mentioned earlier, we have a renewed focus on the product, but our most important focus is on you, our customers. We’d love to talk to you and we’d love to know how we can help.
Please get in touch and let’s start talking.
We feel very strongly about EasyBC - we always have - and we hope you will too.
